Se han anunciado las nominaciones a los premios BAFTA Games Awards 2022, con Returnal e It Takes Two a la cabeza con ocho nominaciones cada uno.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart ha conseguido siete nominaciones, mientras que Forza Horizon 5 y Psychonauts 2 han recibido seis.
El Juego del Año de EE, que es la única categoría votada por el público, ha abierto su votación con Chicory: A Colorful Tale, DEATHLOOP, The Forgotten City, It Takes Two, Metroid Dread y Unpacking están en la lista de finalistas.

En la edición 2021 de los BAFTA Game Awards, Hades arrasó y se llevó 5 premios, incluido el de Juego del Año.
Con un número récord de votos, The Last of Us Part II también se llevó el premio al Juego del Año de EE.
Por otra parte, Carrion, el título de terror de Phobia Game Studio, ganó el premio al mejor debut, Ghost of Tsushima se llevó el premio a los logros sonoros, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales ganó el premio a la música, Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition se llevó el premio a la propiedad original y Sea of Thieves ganó el premio al juego en evolución.
Dreams, de Media Molecule, ganó en la categoría de Logro Técnico y la directora de su estudio, Siobhan Reddy, recibió el Fellowship, el más alto honor de los BAFTA, por su trabajo pionero en materia de diversidad y cultura laboral creativa.
